Hitler's final days in the Berlin bunker as Soviet forces close in. April 20–30 1945.
Hitler retreated to the Führerbunker on January 16, 1945, and never left. He shot himself on April 30, 1945 with the Red Army less than 500 metres away. The bunker was demolished by the East German government in 1988; the site is now a car park.
